for men, women, children, and their families and friends whose lives have been impacted by any kind of cancer. Their mission is to ensure that all people impacted by cancer
are empowered by knowledge, strengthened by action, and sustained by community.
A partner since 2001, Caring Arts facilitates
art programming on select Saturdays at
Gilda’s Club Chicago’s main clubhouse in downtown Chicago and also at their
satellite facility inside Advocate-Christ
Medical Center in Oak Lawn.

TLC CAMP: LOMBARD
Togetherness Through Love & Caring (TLC) is a week long Summer Day Camp for children living with cancer and their siblings. The Caring Arts Foundation has sponsored a day of activities and outings for TLC campers each year since 2004.

WATERFORD PLACE CANCER RESOURCE CENTER, AURORA
Waterford Place is a cancer support community in Aurora, located across from the Rush-Copley Medical Center and operated by them. Waterford Place offers a welcoming space with an array of programs to provide comfort, understanding, support, and information for those in any stage of treatment or survivorship, as well as their loved ones, all at no cost to members. Caring Arts programming includes monthly mixed media art classes, as well as interactive special activities, including their Family Arts festival, Hocus Pocus Family Focus Halloween event, Present for Patients, Holiday Family Photos and more.

PARTNERSHIPS
WELLNESS HOUSE, HINSDALE

In 1990, Wellness House started with a single mission: to better the lives of people living with cancer and the people close to them. Today, they offer a variety of programs and services — exercise classes, nutrition seminars, support groups, and more — that complement the treatment from doctors and specialists. It’s a whole-person approach to healing, and it’s offered at no cost to patients and their families. Caring Arts partners with Wellness House to provide monthly art classes at their home base in Hinsdale, as well as by provide Expressive Arts programming at satellite facilities and special events.
